AI for Science Education:
Embracing Artificial Intelligence in Secondary Science Education

This course is established under the "AI for Science Education" Funding Programme, aimed at enhancing science teachers' capacity in AI-assisted teaching, encouraging schools to arrange for teachers to participate in professional development programmes and conducting trial lessons, thereby promoting pedagogical innovations and enhancing students' learning effectiveness.

This interactive course is designed to empower secondary school science teachers with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their teaching practices. Participants will engage in hands-on experiences, exploring various Generative AI (GAI) tools and pedagogical strategies to integrate AI tools for enhancing students’ scientific literacy, promoting cross-disciplinary connections, and fostering the spirit of innovation. The course also addresses the ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in science education, fostering responsible practices among teachers and students.
